During the month of July, 21 new buses will be put into operation. These buses were introduced on 05.07.07 before SAF top management and the Provincial Transport Councillor, Mr. Marchetti, and will be integrated and renew the SAF– Autoservizi FVG SpA fleet: 19 coaches have been assigned to the regional lines serving the mountain areas, namely the 7.90 and 10.80 m buses, as well as the Friulian lowlands of Codroipo and Latisana, which will be served by the 12.77 m, 69-seater vehicles. Two coaches, on the other hand, will serve the urban lines and consist of an 11.99 m and 7 m bus with a capacity of 84 and 28 seats, respectively.

All new vehicles are equipped with:
- Air conditioning system and all the most advanced safety system;
- ABS, ASR and anti-crushing doors;
- Infrared system to facilitate transporting people with poor visibility or the blind
- the urban buses will also be equipped with systems to help people with mobility impairment in wheelchairs

The regional buses are among the first to be equipped with Euro 5 engine and the gas-powered vehicle for the urban service responds to the EEC regulations with even lower emissions. The Udine urban service, therefore, continues to be at the forefront in Italy, as confirmed by a survey that has recently been published in “Il Sole 24 ORE”, thanks to the use of low environmental impact vehicles;
Comfortable seats that have been built to resist any acts of vandalism;
AVM tracking system and other functions that are connected to the GPS.

The new buses consist of 13 Irisbus, 1 Evobus, 2 Marbus and 5 De Simon for a total investment of 4.5 million €, which will help the company to comply with the contractual obligations also in terms of the average age of the vehicles which is less than 7.5 years for the TPL service - Local Public Transport (as can be seen with the urban service that pivots around the 6-year mark).

Not only, recently SAF has also renewed the fleet for the tourist and hire services by purchasing vehicles with all the most modern comforts and technical characteristics that meet a high quality standard, namely:
