depliant of service
The DISCOBUS of the night

Within the project “Vado a divertirmi…SICURO! Prendo la corriera” (I go and have fun…SAFELY! I use the bus), with the support of the Traffic Police and of the Carabinieri, SAF autoservizi and the Province of Udine expanded Udine-Lignano connection with a service, active every Saturday of July and August 2007, which left from Udine at 10.30 pm and came back from Lignano on Sunday at dawn (at 5.30 am) The experience of transfer towards fun by public transport was met by great success, and it will be repeated in summer 2008. It is undoubtedly an excellent solution to save energy, money and…worries for parents who, in this way, are more inclined to let their children free to go and have fun on Saturday night.

Citizens on the move
Equoservizio - Citizens on the move

In collaboration with ALEF (Association of Migrant Workers of Friuli Venezia Giulia), UCAI (Union of Migrant Communities and Associations) and CAFC (Consortium of Waterworks of Central Friuli), SAF took part in the realization of a project financed by Friuli Venezia Giulia Region aiming at easing the integration of foreigners, above all non-EU citizens, in Friuli Venezia Giulia by helping them overcome their difficulties in using services and, above all, public transports. Thus, SAF organized two training conferences reserved for about 30 cultural mediators coming from the different international areas which are the most significant in the region: these people were informed about the Local Public Transport service and the water supply through speeches made by SAF, CAFC, the Region and the Province of Udine, in order to be then able to give adequate information to their fellow countrymen and countrywomen living on the territory. The project offered also a concrete help since it made it organized the publication and distribution of a kind of guide containing the rules for a correct use of public transport service and of water supply: the guide was published in 14 languages, among which there are Italian and Friulian.

I go and have fun…safely!
The DISCOBUS in the city

The project supporting road safety called “Vado a divertirmi … sicuro!” (I go and have fun…safely!) went on with new initiatives aimed at drawing the bus nearer to young people. In collaboration with Udine Municipality, Department for social, educational and cultural policies – on the occasion of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Informagiovani (Young people information office) and of the study-visit and the European conference with delegations from the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary and Austria – there was the launch of the DISCOBUS initiative with four well-known DJs, their consoles and their CDs on board. The journey touched Udine and places where people have fun with 8 stops of 30 minutes each. In each of them young people danced and had fun in the “open air disco” and they could get on and off the bus as much as they liked.

Ceghedaccio

Within the “Vado a divertirmi … sicuro!” (I go and have fun…safely!) project on April 3rd SAF took part once again to the spring edition of Ceghedaccio, the longest-awaited event for 70s and 80s music and for the fun of all those who love the sound of disco music and pop successes of the past. As usual, the party took place at pavilion 6 of Udine Fair ground, from 9.30 pm to 1.30 am, thus respecting those which were the opening hours of discos not so long ago. For all Ceghedaccio-fans the programme with good music developed by following the well-tested agenda by DJ Renato Pontoni, with slow dances and dedicated tracks. And also this year there were many bookings on the part of those who wanted to get to the event by bus, thanks to SAF coaches leaving from Trieste and with stops in Monfalcone and Palmanova, from Gorizia with stops in Cormons and Manzano, from Pordenone and Codroipo, and from Tolmezzo and Gemona.

that thin orange thread
CITIZENS ON THE MOVE – that thin orange thread
…it was an exhibition travelling through the rights and duties of those who use buses…
… it is a project devoted to childhood and realized within “EQUOSERVIZIO – citizens on the move" promoted by ALEF, UCAI and SAF…
… it is a laboratory which involved about 60 children of “A. Friz” primary school, their teachers and the Headmaster office…
… it is an open journey, a trip among rights and duties, a discovery of how to be a citizen, a space for comparisons, a meeting point for those who offer a service and those who use it …
… it is a travelling exhibition set on board of a bus which leaves from the school and crosses the whole city …

Open wineries
WINEBUS
For the traditional meeting with good wine, services have been really innovative: by using a GPS guide or by bus, by car, by bike, there have been many ways of living and experiencing Cantine aperte (Open wineries). SAF participated in the initiative promoted by Movimento turismo del vino FVG (Wine tourism movement in FVG) by organizing a service which became part of the “Vado a divertirmi…sicuro!” (I go and have fun…safely!) project. On Sunday May 25th (upon reservation) four SAF coaches left from the four province capital cities to enable people to enjoy the experience of Cantine Aperte with absolute tranquillity. The coaches followed a special course through the areas of the region which are devoted to viticulture, and they stopped in some firms associated to the Wine tourism movement.

diploma parties
Diploma parties
It is an Italian usage that students getting their diploma organize great parties with dinner and disco. To avoid street accidents very often groups of students rent a coach to perform their transport for the whole night, up to the dawn.
This year SAF organized the transport for about twenty groups of students.
