Certification

Since 1999 SAF has been deeply interested in the concept of quality, and it obtained the certification of conformity to the UNI EN ISO 9002:1994 Quality System, which SAF considers a good way to meet the customers’ needs and a useful tool to manage the company according to a systemic strategy. SAF eventually has developed several devices to support and improve its activities, such as “The Manual of the Driver”, “the “Behaviour Personnel Code” and a new procedure to rule the communication with customers, the “Ethic Code”.

After the assignation of Udine Management Unit, SAF further developed its organizational system and, in 2002, obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification which extends the previous system also to planning and to all services offered (regular, specialized and occasional services).

At the moment papers are being prepared in order to obtain, by 2008, the certification of the Quality/Environment integrated management system in compliance with norms UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004

The current Quality System is already being applied in an advanced way and it aims at improving organizational management through a greater involvement of the staff, the reinforcement of the level of service in terms of efficiency and quality, the meeting of minimum standards provided for by the Charter of Services and, lastly, the adoption of a Model of organization, management and control. The new certification – oriented to quality, to the management of problems and to the respect of the environment - aims at reducing the consumption of resources, at rationalizing behaviours and at adopting solutions to obtain higher energy output from its plants, at reducing and preventing air pollution, at being a positive example for other economic subjects and for the community, and at guaranteeing a correct fulfilment of law obligations in the sector of environment and safety. Actions which will be implemented in order to reach these targets are the improvement of the service in compliance with the terms of the Charter of Services; the involvement and training of the staff who must be made aware of its responsibility in company processes; the information and the involvement of suppliers and partners; the control and the measurement of environmental impacts; the adoption of the best technology available; the control of waste in order to contain and to allocate them to recycling and disposal areas.
